We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our team as a Manufacturing Digitalisation Manager at our global manufacturing hub in Poole, a role that has become available due to an internal promotion. This reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering career growth.

Our world-class manufacturing site in Poole is dedicated to staying at the forefront of digital transformation. As the Manufacturing Digitalisation Manager, you will be supported in your role and have the opportunity to lead a talented team of five Digitalisation Specialists. Together, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence across our operations.

Here is what you can expect from this role:

Own and deliver the digital strategy for UK manufacturing, with support from the management team
Be an enabler and advocate for data-driven decision making, drive a culture of managing by exception
Allocation of projects and day-to-day management of the digital team
Deliver the full lifecycle of multi-disciplined projects, from conception to “business as usual”
Deliver effective communication and training to our manufacturing team, build a digital culture
Maintain a sound awareness of the latest technologies, lead on “proof of concept” evaluations.
Implement standardised methods, processes and systems to optomise manufacturing operations
Inspire a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of manufacturing.
Build a network with the manufacturing community to share knowledge / best practice
Continued professional and personal development.  

In addition, you will be leading digital specialists on a range of technologies, including:  

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and low-code development
System and tool ownership and administration, such as ERP and MES
Data pipelines, storage, application and analytics
Robotics / Cobotics and internally developed production automation solutions
Generative AI and Computer Vision The location of this role will be Poole, UK

The candidate

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following characteristics:

Growth Mindset – Actively develop, coach others, build networks and explore new technologies. Candidates should ideally have experience with the following:

Experience with a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics or similar discrete products
Understanding of core manufacturing systems such as ERP (SAP) and/or MES
Previous line management of a small team
Exposure to implementing and/or maintaining Operational Technology (OT) and systems
Knowledge of lean principles and/or experience of implementing process improvement
Experience of utilizing data analysis techniques on large datasets
Programming experience in any language desirable Benefits Include:
