RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on the latest applications of data science to solve business problems
  • Participate in discussions with team members to select and apply relevant analytic techniques and create actionable business insights.
  • Ability to understand the business context by discussing existing data models with senior client leaders and deriving useful business insights.
  • Extract, transform and organize the data into datasets using tools like SQL.
  • Ability to break down a project into specific tasks involving business analysis, data science and engineering
  • Direct teams of business analysts to create data driven solutions
  • Architect data analytics frameworks and solutions to solve data driven business problems
  • Use Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Operational Research technique to develop data models
  • Experienced in building and maintaining predictive and/or prescriptive models in production at enterprise scale
  • Experienced in developing and running simulation, optimization, and what-if scenario planning tools to support decision making.
  • Demonstrable ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypothesis and make recommendations to broader audience required
  • Consistent record of working cross functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics
  • Prior experience synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to non-technical audiences including senior leadership teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentation
  • Familiarity with agile development methodology
  • Utilizing appropriate quality checks to ensure the results are sound.

Requirements

  • Data Science expertise of 7-15 years working in the FMCG space, CPG domain is preferred.
  • Supply chain experience at least 3 to 4 years and prior experience in areas of Demand, Supply, Shipping, Inventory Planning etc. is highly desirable
  • Experience working with large data sets is preferable (with an emphasis on business analysis problems)
  • Experience of working with offshore teams, solving vague business problem to data analytics solution
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with experience in areas such as Supply chain planning and operations, E-commerce and store retail experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical, and analytical skill set to work with analytics toolkit such as:
    • R, Python, SQL, Git, SAS, Tableau, Alteryx
    • Azure Tech Stack
  • Ability to engage with executive/VP level stakeholders from client’s team to translate business problems to high level analytics solution approach
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics
  • Prior experience in synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to non-technical audiences including senior leadership teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentation
  • Familiarity with agile development methodology
  • Strong project management and team management skills and ability to work with global teams
  • Knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and big data systems such as Hadoop HDFS, Hive is a plus
