The Role


Reports to:VP, Research

Location:WeWork HQ, Waterloo - Hybrid (minimum once in the office per week)

Comp:Negotiable (Base) + Company Performance Bonus (Lvl 3) + Share Options + UK iProov Benefits


How you’ll make an impact:

  • Take ownership of research areas in computer vision, machine learning and biometrics with high degree of autonomy tackling new, as yet, unsolved industry problems
  • Work with our developers to see the products of the research turned into production code
  • Collaborate with the research team on best solutions
  • Communicate research outcomes across the company
  • Contribute to the broader research strategy of the company
  • Challenge the status quo of the existing solutions
  • You will work with a diverse team of AI and machine vision specialists, applying state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques to develop original solutions to world wide problems.


We tend to look for people with:

  • A Masters or PhD in a numerate discipline such as computer science, engineering, computational neuroscience
  • Experience delivering machine learning or computer vision systems in an industrial environment
  • Experience with time-series data and correlation
  • Understanding of multiple Machine Learning disciplines, such as Image Processing, Computer Vision, Signal Processing, Natural Language Processing, Pattern Recognition etc.
  • Experience with Docker and Google Suite including Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as experiment tracking, automation, dataset versioning, etc.
  • Excellent data processing capabilities using tools such as Python, Excel, Google Suite
