We are fully Remote and can hire across Europe!
At Praktika.ai we are on a mission to deliver efficient and engaging learning experiences for billions of students worldwide by bridging the gap between learning apps and human tutors.
We have done this by creating a fully automated language tutorship experience powered by generative AI Avatars.
After raising $30 million in Series A funding, we are growing and looking for a TTS/SST Machine Learning Engineer to join us! We are a global small team of 40 innovators who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in language learning and tutoring.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the voice of next-generation AI systems — from real-time conversational pipelines to emotionally expressive speech synthesis. If you're passionate about TTS, real-time AI, and scaling machine learning systems, we’d love to talk to you.
In this fast-paced environment we like independent self-starters who can work well in a team as well as unassisted and who enjoy the working environment of an early-stage startup.
What You’ll Do with us:
Design, integrate, and optimize Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems within real-time conversational AI pipelines.
Fine-tune models based on user feedback, improving clarity, naturalness, and emotional expression in voice output.
Contribute to customer-specific deployments with high adaptability and quick turnaround requirements.
Collaborate with ML, product, and engineering teams to ensure seamless voice experiences across our platform.
What we’re Looking For from you:
Strong proficiency in Python, with deep knowledge of software development principles, architecture patterns, and ML model integration.
Hands-on experience with TTS systems (e.g., Tacotron, FastSpeech, VITS) and an understanding of SST pipelines.
Familiarity with real-time AI systems, including LLM integration and latency-sensitive applications.
Experience tuning and maintaining ML models for performance, scalability, and quality in production.
Bonus: Experience with Pytest or other testing frameworks for ML systems.
Why should you join Praktika:
Be part of the story of one of the fastest-growing early-stage consumer AI companies globally
Work with a highly ambitious team using the best technologies on the market
Drive innovation and make a significant impact in the AI and education sectors
