As a Machine Learning Engineer at Cleo you will be an embedded part of a cross-functional team made up of engineers, product managers and analysts.You’ll primarily be leveraging advanced Natural Language Processing and Generative AI techniques to make Cleo more intelligent and improve our chatbot utility across a multitude of interesting use cases:Enabling deeper understanding of our users' financial situations and goals using transaction-level NLP to aid stronger coachability on saving and spendingEnhanced user activation experienceGrowing user acquisition & engagement across our productsResponsibilities:Training or fine-tuning machine learning models, and collaborating with the engineering team to integrate them into Cleo’s product.A wide range of ML tasks: classification, recommender systems, generative modelsFinding opportunities for model and product improvements in Cleo's extensive datasets of chat conversations, spending patterns, and app interactionsExperience in data science, machine learning engineering, or related rolesFamiliarity with deep learning and/or recommender systemsSound understanding of how the models you build drive user and business impactProficient in Python programming and able to write moderate to complex SQL queriesStrong ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholdersExperience deploying machine learning models into production; familiarity with Docker containers and container orchestration tools is a plusBenefits:25 days annual leave a year + public holidays (+ an additional day for every year you spend at Cleo)6% employer-matched pension in the UKPrivate Medical Insurance via Vitality, dental cover, and life assuranceEnhanced parental leave1 month paid sabbatical after 4 years at CleoRegular socials and activities, online and in-personWe'll pay for your OpenAI subscriptionOnline mental health support via SpillUK App access:
