About the Role

As a Machine Learning Application Engineer in the team, you will be involved in Application Development, implementing and fine-tuning LLMs and Transformer Models. Primarily a delivery function, you will work closely with Analysts and Engineers to breathe life into our products.

This is a role for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer who works hands-on fine-tuning and deploying LLMs and data models into production within a commercial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain Machine Learning Model pipelines
  • Train and fine-tune LLMs
  • Define infrastructure requirements and architecture for Model Training and Inference
  • Measure and review the performance of production models, performing evaluation and tuning
  • Work closely as a part of the software development team to deploy models into production

Must-Have Requirements

  • Have deep, expert level experience with Python development
  • Established application development experience in Service Oriented Architectures
  • Experience implementing Transformers (ideally, HuggingFace)
  • Fine-tuned Transformer Models (ideally with AWS sagemaker but not essential)
  • Experience deploying models and hosting via an API (AWS is preferred)
  • Experience writing AWS Lambda functions

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Experience building applications in Langchain
  • Experience implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation
  • Experience working with Vector Databases

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

  • £70,000 - 85,000 base salary (salary assessment will be primarily based on experience)
