About the Role
As a Machine Learning Application Engineer in the team, you will be involved in Application Development, implementing and fine-tuning LLMs and Transformer Models. Primarily a delivery function, you will work closely with Analysts and Engineers to breathe life into our products.
This is a role for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer who works hands-on fine-tuning and deploying LLMs and data models into production within a commercial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Machine Learning Model pipelines
- Train and fine-tune LLMs
- Define infrastructure requirements and architecture for Model Training and Inference
- Measure and review the performance of production models, performing evaluation and tuning
- Work closely as a part of the software development team to deploy models into production
Must-Have Requirements
- Have deep, expert level experience with Python development
- Established application development experience in Service Oriented Architectures
- Experience implementing Transformers (ideally, HuggingFace)
- Fine-tuned Transformer Models (ideally with AWS sagemaker but not essential)
- Experience deploying models and hosting via an API (AWS is preferred)
- Experience writing AWS Lambda functions
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience building applications in Langchain
- Experience implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation
- Experience working with Vector Databases
Compensation, Perks & Benefits
- £70,000 - 85,000 base salary (salary assessment will be primarily based on experience)
