We’re looking for an experienced Sales Engineer based in the UK who is excited by the opportunity of scaling an AI startup and enjoys helping people, solving problems, and working on interesting projects. You will be helping scale our UK customers as well as providing some assistance to our US team. 

As a Sales Engineer, you will partner with our sales and partnership team as a technical resource while engaging with prospective clients. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding potential customers' technical needs and translating how our platform offerings could be a fit. You will be proficient in the technical aspects of our platforms and will advise on and design solutions for potential customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expertise in feature functionality and practical application of all our product offerings
  • Help companies to understand and evaluate the technical capabilities of our products and ensuring technical alignment
  • Understand and interpret prospective customer requirements, delivering customised product demonstrations to match customer needs
  • Design, validate and document technical solutions to share with prospective customers
  • Collect and analyse feedback from prospective customers to influence roadmap, collaborating with engineering, and product management teams to meet our prospects' business challenges and align with our internal business objectives
  • Supporting our implementation manager with the technical work required for pilots
  • Helping with training and onboarding new customers
  • Training and supporting partners

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a SaaS Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant, preferably within the e-commerce space 
  • Experience working with APIs
  • A self-starter able to work independently and within a team
  • Confident building basic integrations.
  • Comfortable using third-party APIs with minimal exposure.
  • Building custom demos & proof of concept using various platforms.
  • Ambitious and Motivated
  • Passionate about technology and how it can be used to drive business impact
  • Willing to contribute to an amazing work culture and environment
  • Comfortable with the rapid, unpredictable nature of a tech start-up
  • Uses initiative when challenged
  • Willingness to learn core technology tools
  • Good time-management
