Our trusted partner, which operates within the Ed-Tech domain, employs over 10,000 individuals across 100 countries, and has a reach of 600 million users, is recruiting a Lead-Gen AI/ML Engineer with hands-on development capabilities in Python and React. To be successful in this project, the chosen engineer must have recent project experience developing and integrating a Chat/Messaging application within the education or learning industry. Our client wants to pay £650 PD Outside IR 35 to start ASAP for an initial 3/6 month contract on a hybrid basis based near Stratford, London.

The developers should be proficient in full-stack development and cloud engineering and strongly desire to contribute to a groundbreaking project that will transform the future of language learning and assessment. While this role does not require data science skills, experience delivering production systems with AI components is highly desirable.

Main Accountabilities

Collaborate with the Technology Lead, product managers, experience designers, QA, and subject matter experts to develop and optimize the application.
Contribute to the technical architecture, make relevant technical choices, and advise on the selection of third-party suppliers and partners.
Develop, evolve, and maintain high-quality, scalable software applications.
Delivery high-quality code in short iterations, focusing on business and end-user value
Ensure the application meets high performance and scalability standards.
Contribute to requirement definition (user stories) and analysis.
Actively participate in code reviews, and design discussions, and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Mentor other members of the team.
Continuously improve the application through innovation, experimentation, and iteration.
Stay up-to-date with new developments in web development, AI, cloud engineering, and language assessment.Core skill requirements:

Strong development capabilities in full-stack web applications at an enterprise level are a must-have.
Proficiency in Python and React is a must-have.
Chat or Messaging application integration is a must-have
Experience in Ed-Tech, Education, or Consultancy would be highly desirable.
Experience in software development and architecture, with a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software applications, is desirable.
Experience working on AI / ML / LLM-based applications is desirable.Two-stage remote interview process with capacity to start ASAP
