Using machine learning and data their technology improves the way every item of clothing is cut to reduce waste save cost.


With recent funding and an ever-expanding roster of new clients to onboard, this company looks to increase its engineering capabilities and theLead Engineerwill take the helm of this growing team.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This company are on a mission to revolutionize fit insights in the fashion industry. They are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurialLead Engineerto not only take charge of the development of their systems but also spearhead the growing engineering function.


THE PRODUCT:

The product is advanced analytics using AI and machine learning with a low code front end. In the next 12 months, they will be building a shopify app that automates website updates based on manufacturing data.


THE TECH STACK:OpenAI, Docker, AWS Fargate, Airbyte, Python, Scikit-learn, AWS S3, AWS RDS, DuckDB, PostgreSQL


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Leading the development of their growing systems
  • Growing and leading a team
  • Building and maintaining reliable data pipelines
  • Collaborating with other areas of the business
  • Optimizing performance
  • Implementing Best Practices
  • Shaping the Architecture


WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • A motivated self-starter
  • Start-up or side hustle experience and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in back-end development, with some experience in a leadership role
  • Up to date with cutting edge AI
  • Proficiency in Python, preferably experience with the other elements of their tech stack
  • Strong understanding of database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is ideal) and a strong grasp of CI/CD practices
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Team Player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for learning
