This vacancy can be located from our offices at either Luton, Hannover, Rijswijk, Zaventem or Stockholm. The role will be published until Wednesday 1st April.

ABOUT THE JOB

You'll take accountability for delivering data science solutions that step-change our capability for key value-driving functions within Markets & Airlines, developing solutions with our Commercial Division to maximise synergies across Market Place. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities and lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions in collaboration with TUI technology teams and external partners. We’ll look to you to lead and further develop an international team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation while ensuring the application of best practices and state-of-the-art techniques. You’ll develop and manage a multi-year roadmap, working with both global and local teams to shape requirements and maximise opportunities for data science solutions across functions including Sales Solutions, CRM, Loyalty, Digital Marketing, and Customer Service. The role involves establishing frameworks for estimating business impact, tracking success metrics, and quantifying the ROI of data science initiatives, while translating complex analytics into clear and compelling business narratives. You’ll ensure the successful deployment of solutions, with robust automated processes for ongoing model maintenance, monitoring, and operational performance to drive sustained commercial value. You’ll work closely with technology teams to ensure data science solutions are built on scalable cloud-based data and deployment architectures, with particular focus on operationalisation, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone with proven leadership experience in complex, international organisations who can navigate and influence across diverse functional teams. You bring an extensive track record in leading the development and implementation of end-to-end data science solutions. Your exceptional stakeholder management abilities will be crucial, particularly in driving the adoption of new technologies and methodologies. Deep technical expertise in data systems and cloud technologies is essential, including proficiency with relevant tools for data science. The ideal candidate demonstrates proven knowledge of machine learning algorithms, optimisation, statistical analysis, and business modelling. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are needed, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar is required for this role, alongside experience working within production-oriented data science environments. Relevant educational qualifications in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
