We're seeking a visionaryLead Data Scientist (AI)to join our clients fast-growing insurance startup, and drive the development of intelligent, data-driven solutions across our core products and operations. You'll be at the forefront of our AI strategy, leading initiatives to optimize underwriting, claims processing, risk assessment, and customer personalization using machine learning and advanced analytics.
KeyResponsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of AI/ML models to support underwriting, fraud detection, pricing, and customer experience initiatives.
  • Design and implement data science solutions that align with regulatory standards and business objectives.
  • Build and scale a high-performing data science team; provide technical mentorship and guidance.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure smooth integration of AI models into production systems.
  • Drive the use of NLP, predictive modeling, and generative AI where applicable to improve operational efficiency and innovation.
KeyRequirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in data science, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role.
  • Proven track record building and deploying machine learning models in real-world environments, preferably within insurance, fintech, or healthtech.
  • Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and AI techniques, including deep learning and NLP.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex models into clear business insights.
