Senior Recruitment Consultant - Machine Learning & AI Recruiter | Connecting Top Talent with Cutting-Edge Companies

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading Technical Data Projects for Food Companies:This startup partners with major food businesses to help them measure, report, and manage their carbon emissions and broader environmental impacts. This includes corporate Scope 3 reporting, life cycle assessments of food products and recipes, and the development of net-zero strategies and transition plans. In this role, you will have responsibility for delivering technical, data-driven assignments with these clients, preparing, handling, analysing, and deriving insights from their data to inform key recommendations and shape sustainability strategies.
  2. Leading Client Engagements:Client-facing consultancy experience is crucial. You will guide clients in leveraging data to drive their sustainability commitments beyond compliance, providing expertise and advice on how sustainability data can inform their broader goals and objectives. This role involves managing and strengthening client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact from initial scoping through to final delivery.
  3. Managing and Developing the Team:As a leading consultant, you will lead delivery teams on consulting projects, ensuring successful execution of technical, data-focused assignments. The role includes setting strategic direction, overseeing project timelines, and allocating resources while integrating expertise from internal science and data teams as needed. There will be lots of mentoring and coaching juniors, fostering their development.

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

  • 10+ years of experience in a consulting environment.
  • Experience leading consulting projects and delivering evidence-based insights and strategic recommendations informed by technical data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience handling large datasets using programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience collaborating with data scientists and software engineers to develop or improve analytical tools.
  • Proven ability to independently lead client-facing projects, including managing relationships and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, methodologies, and tools in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
  • Passion for data, sustainability, and the food industry.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience conducting corporate carbon reporting assessments aligned with GHG Protocol standards.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards such as SBTi (including FLAG) and CSRD.
  • Knowledge of the food sector and its supply chains.
