Job Summary
As Junior Data Scientist, you'll support data science initiatives that enhance CooperVision's commercial strategy. Reporting to a team in the US, you'll analyze large datasets, develop data-driven insights, and assist in deploying machine learning models. You will collaborate with global and regional teams to support business objectives through data exploration, model development, and visualization.

Responsibilities

Assist in analyzing structured and unstructured data to derive actionable insights for strategic decisions.
Support the development and deployment of data science models, applying basic machine learning techniques under guidance.
Utilize problem-solving skills to explore complex datasets and collaborate globally with cross-functional teams.
Provide expertise in advanced data science techniques such as machine learning, optimization, and clustering for commercial use cases.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Use predictive and prescriptive analytics to enable proactive decision-making.
Integrate new data sources and analytics to improve business processes.
Willingness to learn and apply new data science techniques.

About You

We seek someone with experience in analytics or data modeling. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their data science expertise. Experience with SQL for pulling and analyzing large datasets, and proficiency with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, are essential. Strong communication skills are also required to effectively tell the story behind the data. The role requires autonomy, comfort working remotely, and collaboration with a global team.
