Data Science and Machine Learning Manager

We are currently looking for a Junior Data Scientist, to join our client in the Pharmaceutical industry, for a fully remote position.


The role will be a contract role, on a roughly 3+ year project, initial contract length to be 6-12 months.You will need to be EU based, with valid rights to work in the EU.The working hours are likely to be around 80%.


For this role - they will look at anything from someone finishing a Masters programme, or with around 1 years of experience, or internship experience.


Project Overview

You will work closely with the Data Scientist in the team, to share tasks and help with the increased workload of the project.


They work on training optimizing ML and NLP models and architecture building and maintenance and experience with LLMs.


Responsibilities

  • Explore and implement API integration and Data Engineering needs for proprietary corpus engine development and production
  • Data source API integration as they become available
  • Develop and maintain a ‘playground/sandbox’ where support teams/test users can play with models/engines/apps
  • Assess feasibility of automation/efficiency-based internal AI/ML projects
  • Build PoC apps for those that are feasible
  • Run automation of building a searchable full text PDF database tailored to AIHC and client-owned content e.g. based on ~10k PDF records
