At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist Apprentice to join our team in Droitwich Spa! This role offers the opportunity to complete a level 6 apprenticeship in data science funded by the company.

This role will be based onsite at our Doncasters Deritend site in Worcestershire.

The salary for this position is £25,000.

The Role

As a Data Scientist Apprentice, you will support the day to day analytical and data activities of the local data team by carrying our routine data preparation, validation and reporting tasks, while helping to maintain and enhance data pipelines, datasets and reports so they remain accurate, timely and fit for purpose. You will also respond to regular business data requests under supervision, confidently escalating issues when needed, and contribute to backlog items, defect fixes and incremental improvements to ensure smooth operation of the data function. In collaboration with senior team members, assist in troubleshooting data quality, refresh and performance issues, playing an active role in keeping data reliable and actionable across the organisation!

Level 3 qualification in relevant subject area or demonstratable work experience in data, analytics, reporting a technical role, sufficient to support study at Level 6.

English and Maths at GCSE at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) or commitment to achieve these as part of the apprenticeship where permitted

Prior experience supporting data analysis, reporting or data systems in a business environment (desirable but not essential)
