My client is seeking an experienced and innovativeChief Information Officer (CIO)to lead the technological strategy and operations of our small but dynamic commercial insurance platform company. This pivotal role requires a hands-on technology leader with a proven track record in insurance or fintech, who can build and scale our platform, optimize processes, and drive digital transformation.


The CIO will work closely with leadership to ensure the company’s technology infrastructure supports our mission to deliver innovative insurance solutions to our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Technology Leadership:

  • Define and execute the company’s technology vision and roadmap to support growth and innovation.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Drive digital transformation to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness.


Cybersecurity and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity measures to protect customer and business data.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and insurance standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.


Team and Vendor Management:

  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and cloud service providers.
  • Oversee IT budgeting and ensure cost-effective technology investments.


Data and Analytics:

  • Leverage data to enhance underwriting models, risk assessment, and customer insights.
  • Establish real-time reporting and dashboards for business performance monitoring.
  • Lead the adoption of AI and machine learning to improve automation and decision-making processes.


Key Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
