Overview

We are looking for a talented innovator with strong foundational skills in research design, data analysis, and storytelling with data. The right candidate will join the Toluna Group’s Innovation Team to conduct testing and validation of new AI capabilities and to design and invent tools and solutions that create high-value insights and recommendations for client decision making and commercial growth for the Toluna Group. The Innovation Team is a part of Toluna’s Insights and Innovation function.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing and validation of new AI capabilities.
  • Design and invent new, scalable approaches (processes, tools, solutions, measures) that allow us to create more value (e.g., deeper insights, higher efficiency, increased speed to action, etc.) for our clients and for colleagues across the Toluna Group.
  • Be or become a subject matter expert on the application of artificial intelligence to solve common client problems.
  • Scan the environment & seek stakeholder input for new ideas and tools and to understand common client pain points that Toluna can solve.
  • Apply economic thinking and a forward mindset to identify value propositions and to quantify business benefits of concepts so we can prioritize which to explore or develop.
  • Write or contribute to occasional white papers or blog posts that promote the credibility of the science and/or rigor behind our approaches.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the solutions offered across Toluna companies and the key systems used.


Required Skillset & Education

  • 8+ years in market research including research design, data analysis & reporting.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in research, data science, statistics, psychology, sociology, political science or other related social sciences.
  • Solid understanding of the product development cycle as applied to research solutions and/or tech development.
  • Demonstrate successful involvement in designing new ways to solve client pain points.
  • Domain expertise in client product innovation and consumer behavior a plus.
  • Experience using SPSS, R or Python, and ChatGPT or other LLMs.
  • Able to solve problems creatively and independently.
  • Adaptable, proactive & comfortable with the uncertainty associated with test & learn and fail fast approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts in simpler terms to a broad range of audiences, including clients and internal colleagues.
  • Strong English language skills.
