Company Information Our organisation was created in1990 as a vendor of integrated modelling software to the oil andgas industry. Since then we have built up a hugely successfulbusiness with more than 450 clients across the world, ranging fromsmall consultancies to major multinational corporations. In ourlast trading year the company turned over £66m and has significantcash reserves which are to be held for future expansion. In thisregard, we see an exciting future which embraces the challengesaround energy transition technologies and renewables. In addition,we see huge scope in applying the lessons that we have learntwithin this industry to other sectors, notably mining, banking, andmedicine. With this in mind, the company is on the cusp of a majorexpansion. Part of this involves the relocation of the headquartersfrom Edinburgh to Guildford in Surrey, to take advantage of theimproved travel links, recruitment possibilities, and links toLondon. A new office has just opened in Guildford, and it willbecome the company headquarters in September 2025. PE Limitedcurrently has 90 staff, split roughly between technical support,providing solutions for customers, product development, andcontract and licensing administration. The technical staff are allhighly qualified, with almost everyone having at least a Mastersqualification and many holding PhDs. About This Vacancy - We areseeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team.Engineering Requirements - The ideal candidate will possess astrong foundation in mining engineering, with excellent technicalskills and a passion for developing innovative solutions. Keyresponsibilities include: - Collaboration with the existingtechnical solutions and development teams. - Provide technicaladvice and support to clients on all aspects of the use ofIVM/IFM/Move software in the Mining industry. - Train clientsworldwide. - Exercise a considerable amount of personal initiativeand take a pro-active commercial approach to developing thecompany's business. - Report to the Artificial IntelligenceDirector. - The role is suited to engineers who wish to developtheir engineering knowledge whilst pursuing an exciting andchallenging technical and business career. It is ideally suited toan engineer who has graduated within the last few years, but anyexperience will be considered. Extensive travel is required.Qualifications Bachelors, Master's or PhD degree Mining Engineering(Batchelor’s degree at 2.1 grade)
