We are now looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant, with a track record in leading and delivering client-facing projects across the life sciences and/or healthcare industry, and with a background in Health Economics to support our planned growth in this area. This role represents an excellent opportunity for you to lead projects that use cutting-edge health data science methods and technology to solve some of the most challenging issues in healthcare.What do we do?LCP’s Health Analytics team works across the healthcare and life sciences markets, combining health expertise with innovative approaches from our work in other sectors to tackle leading health issues. By joining LCP’s Health Analytics team, you will have opportunities to work on a range of projects based on your interests and skillset. Some examples of the types of projects we undertake for our clients include:Estimating the cost-effectiveness of interventions using traditional HTA methods but also more holistically from both patients and health systems perspectives which will include; Model conceptualisation and input into evidence generation strategiesModel programming including supporting input sourcing and statistical analysisModel validation and expert elicitationReporting/publicationsDesign and simulation of reimbursement models including outcome-based agreementsRisk prediction and modellingForecasting disease burden, healthcare demand, and costAnalysing demand patterns of healthcare providers to improve care deliveryReal-world evidence studies using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks, and databasesWhat will you be doing?As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you will be involved in a diverse range of projects, covering both client and non-client work. Your responsibilities will include;Leading projects day-to-day including coordination and project management of internal delivery teams alongside client-facing coordination of projectsDesigning solutions to the complex problems our clients in the healthcare and life sciences industry face and presenting these solutions in an accessible mannerDemonstrating an in-depth understanding of trends in conditions/diseases driving healthcare demand, usage, and morbidity patternsPeople responsibilities including the line management and development of junior members of the teamWhat skills, experience and qualities are we looking for?Demonstrable experience in a Health Economics position, preferably within a consultancy environmentA minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate or science subject with a Masters or PhD in Statistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Public Health, or Health EconomicsAn excellent grounding in Health Economics with demonstrable experience undertaking statistical analysis to support economic evaluationExperience working on HTA submissions is desirable, as is experience undertaking statistical analyses to support economic evaluationExperience in methods for external comparator arms (e.g. MAIC and similar methods)Experience in business development activities, including proposal writing and pitch presenting is highly desirableA team player that will enjoy being part of a growing, dynamic departmentComfortable leading day-to-day project activities and managing the workloads of more junior team membersInitiative and creativityExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products with programming experience in R highly desirableExcellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects alongside mentoring and coordination of junior team membersCommitment to delivering high-quality work as standardWhat’s in it for you?As well as joining a multi-award winning, fun, collaborative, people-first organisation where your personal and professional skills will be developed, we offer an attractive benefits package designed to promote your overall wellbeing.
