SALARY: Depending on location. From £124,653 for non London based colleagues. From £154,369 for London based colleagues
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Our Commercial Analytics team has created a brand-new role to further our ambition of using advanced technologies to drive innovation and create new experiences for our customers.

As the Head of Machine Learning and AI Engineering, this position will lead and manage a team of talented engineers from various fields to supervise model development and deployment as a capability served across the end-to-end Data Science & Analytics lifecycle, as well as developing, running and enhancing the data and feature stores that power them.

In this role, you'll Lead and mentor a team of data and machine learning engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration.
Work closely with the Data Science Lead to develop and implement an AI and ML roadmap aligned with business goals and requirements.
Serve as the technical lead for Generative AI and machine learning model deployment
Advocate for standard processes in data transformation, pipeline development, model validation, testing, and performance monitoring.
Contribute to a high performing data science function through coaching and upskilling the team on writing scalable code and good software engineering practices.

What you’ll need demonstrated experience managing multi-functional teams and guiding their career development in implementing machine learning and AI solutions
proven experience engaging senior technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working with and scaling up enormous datasets
Knowledge of both traditional machine learning techniques, and recent advancements in AI, such as GenAI, and agentic frameworks
Have built and deployed machine learning algorithms to production within cloud environments such as AWS, GCP.
