About The Role
Team - Internal Audit
Working Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in either the Vitality London or Bournemouth offices. Full time hours.

Top 3 skills needed for this role:

Deep understanding and expertise in providing audit assurance on IT infrastructure (covering applications, databases, and network) and technologies (covering artificial intelligence, cloud computing and micro services). Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities and opportunities to strengthen controls.
Proficiency in developing and implementing digital innovation and data analytics across audit practices to increase audit coverage, enhance productivity and generate value.
Ability to communicate technical and complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for executive management and other stakeholders.What this role is all about:
Group Internal Audit’s purpose is to strengthen Vitality’s ability to create, protect, and sustain value, by providing objective assurance, advice and insight. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in delivering the audit strategy, managing advisory and assurance engagements and working closely with management to deliver impactful audit reports, that contribute to control and process improvements. You will be a positive disruptor, owning the transformation of audit practices and services through the extensive use of data analytics, smart use of artificial intelligence and implementation of audit tools.

Key Actions

Deliver the Internal Audit Strategy, Vision and Ambition increasing assurance coverage, audit process efficiency and stakeholder collaboration, through automation and the smart use of data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Manage, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-performing audit team.
Develop and execute the annual Internal Audit Plan, aligned to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage and deliver assurance and advisory engagements to the agreed quality and timelines (including overseeing and managing co-source activity).
Communicate to stakeholders at all levels, the assessment of the effectiveness of the control framework to manage risks, providing insights on governance and risk matters.
Continuously improve the audit services to demonstrate shared value to the stakeholders.
Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing of trends and best practices.What do you need to thrive?
Experience:  
Significant experience operating as a senior leader within an Internal Audit and /or technology environment, preferably within the Insurance sector or global regulated enterprise.
Demonstratable experience of conducting operational, technology and / or financial audit (external or internal).
Proven competence of driving change using data analytics (such as continuous auditing/monitoring).
In depth knowledge of assessing and mitigating technology risks.Skills & Abilities:  

Execute small projects, working to agreed timelines and quality.
Troubleshoot problems, identify issues, potential risks, root cause analysis and make practical recommendations.
Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to influence and drive change.Personal Qualities & Behaviours:  

Stature and confidence to interact with Senior Executives with the ability to demonstrate objectivity, integrity and professionalism.
Resilience and pragmatism in the face of complexity, conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances.
