Over the last three years we have launched over 100 augmented reality experiences in 11 countries, for clients such as Salesforce, Bupa, Spike Island, Grant Thornton and many more. This year we will open spatial storytelling to creators around the world by launching Lureo, the world’s first no-code spatial storytelling platform.


The Opportunity

We are seeking a visionaryHead of Engineering (Spatial Computing)to lead the technical strategy and execution of Lureo, our no-code spatial storytelling platform. This individual will be responsible for architecting and developing cutting-edge technology that enables seamless, world-class immersive experiences. You will oversee the engineering team, drive innovation, and ensure that our platform remains at the forefront of spatial computing advancements. This role will be a healthy mix of hands on development and strategic leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership & Strategy:Develop and execute the engineering roadmap for our no-code spatial storytelling platform.
  • Platform Development:Oversee the architecture, development, and optimization of the platform, ensuring performance, scalability, and ease of use.
  • Innovation & R&D:Stay ahead of industry trends in spatial computing, AR/VR/MR, AI-driven content generation, and real-time 3D rendering.
  • Team Management & Growth:Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team across multiple disciplines (e.g., software engineering, 3D graphics, AI, networking, and user experience).
  • Experience Production:Collaborate closely with creative and content teams to deliver immersive spatial storytelling experiences, ensuring technical feasibility and excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to align technical execution with company goals.
  • Quality & Performance:Establish best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, security, and deployment processes.


The ideal candidate will have…


  • Proven experience as a senior engineering leader in spatial computing, gaming, AR/VR/MR, or related fields.
  • Expertise in real-time 3D graphics, game engines (Unity, Unreal, or WebXR), and immersive interaction design.
  • Strong background in architecting and building scalable platforms, ideally in no-code/low-code environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or JavaScript (WebGL, Three.js, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of networking, cloud computing, and backend systems that support immersive experiences.
  • Experience in Unity, C#, Web development, WebGL, and backend technologies.
  • Experience leading engineering teams, fostering innovation, and scaling technology.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience managing engineering teams
  • Ability to write clean, readable, reusable, and easily maintainable code;
  • Experience with source control systems and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience integrating 3rd party plugins, SDKs and APIs
  • A working style that is highly collaborative and open to working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Possess a ‘can do’ attitude and strong drive to deliver a world class product


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AI-driven content generation and procedural storytelling.
  • Familiarity with spatial mapping, SLAM, LiDAR, or computer vision technologies.
  • A passion for storytelling, immersive experiences, and democratizing spatial computing.
