Group Head of Data Science


Salary: Up to £200,000


Location: London (Hybrid + occasional travel to Europe)

They combine local expertise with global scale to deliver fun, responsible, and innovative gaming while generating meaningful impact for the communities they serve. They are building a centralised data function to unify and scale data efforts across their group of businesses, leveraging technology to enhance transparency, efficiency, and growth.


Responsibilities:


  1. Define and drive the vision for a centralised data science function across all brands and business units.
  2. Develop and implement the group-wide data strategy in alignment with executive leadership.
  3. Expand the team over time, including hiring and capability development.
  4. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among data teams in different countries and units.
  5. Serve as the primary contact for senior stakeholders across marketing, product, technology, and operations.
  6. Ensure high standards in project delivery, governance, and impact measurement.
  7. Promote adoption of modern machine learning techniques and emerging technologies, including Generative AI.
  8. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer experience, and revenue through advanced analytics.


Requirements:


  1. MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
  2. Strong background in Data Science (note: this is not a hands-on technical role).
  3. Experience managing small, high-performing teams.
  4. Strategic and confident leadership skills.
  5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
