We are currently looking for a Graduate Teaching Associate in Data Science. You will be situated in the School of Creative and Digital Industries. The purpose of the role is to support teaching and learning through the delivery of modules in conjunction with the Course Leader. Typical duties include:
Tutorial class teaching
Personal tutorial support
Provision of feedback to students
Coursework assessment and examination marking
As a Graduate Teaching Associate you will work toward a fee waived PhD within the school in an area of your choosing. After successful completion of the PhD you will automatically be promoted to Lecturer in the school.
You will have a mix of skills and competencies relevant to the following areas:
Data science, statistics, and analysis
Code, manipulate, engineer, model and analyse data
Statistics & Math: understanding data, building models, and data prediction
Programming: utilise programming languages for data manipulation and analysis
Machine Learning & AI: data processing frameworks
Databases: Data analysis/Mining/Warehousing
Manipulating data, visualising data, and reporting on data
Data communication: storytelling, communication, and ethics
