Your new role

As our new Graduate GIS Consultant, you will collaborate with the project team, ranging from project managers to technical specialists, in order to deliver GIS analysis and maps to client specifications. This will involve navigating challenges across areas such as ecology and biodiversity, landscape, geotechnical, transport and engineering. You’ll have opportunities to innovate, grow technically using the latest tech and gain experience across a broad range of projects.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Providing technical GIS expertise to multi-disciplinary impact assessment, energy and infrastructure projects
  • Delivering GIS data, analysis and maps to client specifications
  • Creating ESRI ArcGIS web maps, field apps and StoryMaps
  • Using and creating Python tools that automate tasks
  • Participate in Ramboll’s Early Careers Development Program

Your new team

You will be part of the UK Digital Hub that sits within our Environment and Health Global Business Area. This is home to our UK GIS Team and related specialisms such as data science, data management and graphic design. Working across all markets and sectors, the team provide specialist consultancy to the diverse and exciting range of international Ramboll projects. This includes major road and rail projects, wind farms, energy transmission, district heating, biodiversity and liveable city projects. We also drive digital transformation projects that improve workflows and deliverables. Our team is vibrant, innovative and supportive. About you

These include:

  • A desire to work on meaningful projects and an interest in the disciplines you work with
  • Experience of ESRI GIS products including ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise
  • Awareness of CAD and GIS integration
  • Basic knowledge of Python and the ArcPy library
  • Good communication skills, adaptable and proactive approach

Due to the nature of our projects, you will be required to undergo security clearance, which includes meeting UK residency requirements and other eligibility criteria.
