Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architect

Overview

As a GCP Migration Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and executing data migration strategies from Azure Data to Google Cloud Storage. Your expertise will ensure a seamless transition while optimizing performance, scalability, and security.

 

Key Responsibilites 

1.Migration Planning

-Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

 - Develop estimates and strategies for proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) using GCP best practices.

2. Technical Discovery:

  - Conduct thorough technical discovery, identifying pain points, existing infrastructure, and future state scenarios.

  - Evaluate the entire technology stack, including operations, administration, automation, and relevant cloud services.

3. Solution Design:

  - Design cloud architectures for migrating on-premises data warehouses/marts from Azure to GCP.

  - Prioritize use cases related to data migration, considering scalability, reliability, and performance.

4. Implementation and Troubleshooting:

  - Assist in the migration process, ensuring smooth transitions and resolving any issues related to cloud infrastructure.

  - Troubleshoot and optimize data migration workflows.

5. Disaster Recovery and Security:

  - Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.

  - Ensure compliance with security standards during migration.

6. Continuous Learning:

  - Stay updated on GCP services, tools, and best practices.

  - Recommend new cloud services and tools that enhance migration efficiency.

Key Skills

  • Expert in Google cloud CI/CD Cloud transformation and migration, Cloud security, Machine learning and artificial intelligence. 
  • Experience working on large scale cloud deployments in the GCP space as well as being the SME for all architectural issues.
  • The Cloud architect will be comfortable working in a consulting capacity and dealing with stakeholders of all levels
  •  Google Cloud technical certification, such as Professional Cloud Developer or Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent.
