Join our global team and help us make great cinema accessible to everyone, everywhere.About the Role MUBI is seeking an experienced, strategic and highly creative individual to lead its global social media marketing efforts. Leveraging both established and emerging platforms, you will direct all social media activities to build breakthrough creative content which will engage new audiences and build communities in ways that help drive the acquisition and retention of MUBI subscribers.Reporting to the Global VP of Digital Media, you will manage an existing team of core global digital team members & work closely with a network of local social media coordinators worldwide to harness the audiences, technology and creative power of social media. You will also work collaboratively with MUBI’s global brand, influencers, editorial, distribution, comms and creative teams to coordinate and integrate social media strategies that provide opportunities for us to test, deliver, learn and adapt at a rapid pace.This role is UK based, on a hybrid model and requires 2 days per week on-site at our offices in Soho, London.We are also open to candidates living and working in New York, to operate from our New York offices.You will focus on: Owning the development of MUBI’s organic social media strategy on a global scale - 6.5M followers across all platforms with localised social media accounts across 11 different markets globally.Providing inspirational and creative thought leadership on all things social media across MUBI’s full ecosystem (Content launches, MUBI Podcast, MUBI Shop, MUBI GO etc.)Conceptualizing and developing bespoke and fresh creative strategies for tentpole MUBI Releases and Premieres.Leading the conceptualization, creative development and implementation of social content — including video and still imagery that best utilises the technology available on any given social media/digital platform.Devising editorial content strategy for social feeds.Establishing repeatable operational methodologies that enable fast and responsive content development and distribution.Working closely with the VP of Digital Marketing and the Data Science team to integrate and measure the impact of our social media marketing efforts through regular analysis and reporting.Being a public-facing advocate for MUBI, attending industry events and helping build a network of strategic contacts.Building and managing partner relationships with all key platforms (META, Google, TikTok, X.com , Reddit).Overseeing the process of monitoring and responding to customer feedback, comments and social media posts.Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies.What you will bring: An understanding of how to use social media to strategically build brands, create attention and generate user advocacy on a global scale.Experience developing highly creative social media marketing campaigns (preferably in the entertainment space) with the ability to think big and implement innovative ideas in ways that create significant social sharing and PR attention.Experience formulating and implementing best practices, mechanisms and measurement tools that leverage the benefits of individual social media platforms.A unique blend of creative instincts, social media marketing aptitude, measurement and executive management skills.Strong creative writing and communication skills.Strong organisation skills and an extreme eye for detail.A keen project manager with a collaborative mindset and an emphasis on being a team player.We want to make cinema accessible to everyone.
