Job Summary

We arecurrently seeking an experienced Realtime optimization professionalto join our team at the Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME). AtGME we offer topnotch technical support to refineries NGLF andpetrochemical plants owned by This Company and its affiliatesworldwide including facilities in Saudi Arabia. Your primary rolewill be to provide expert guidance and support to optimizeoperations using realtime optimization technologies. You will leadimprovement initiatives for all operating departments within ourGlobal Manufacturing Portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Streamline Realtime optimization objectiveswith corporate goals develop program best practices and monitor KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs) to improve performance.
  • Conduct realtime optimizations in refinery operations toenhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyzedata from various sources including process variablesinstrumentation and control systems to identify improvementopportunities.
  • Implement advanced processcontrol strategies to optimize refinery operations and maximize theyield of desired products.
  • Lead thedevelopment of new strategies feasibility studies and establishedbusiness cases.
  • Collaborate with engineersoperators and vendors to develop and implement realtimeoptimization solutions.
  • Monitor andtroubleshoot realtime optimization systems to ensure smooth andreliable operation.
  • Stay updated with thelatest advancements in realtime optimization techniques andtechnologies to continuously improve refineryoperations.
  • Provide technical support andtraining on realtime optimization systems and processes toengineers operators and other personnel.
  • Perform periodic assessments and evaluations to gauge theperformance and effectiveness of realtime optimizationsolutions.
  • Identify and address potentialsafety environmental and reliability risks associated with realtimeoptimization processes.
  • Collaborate withcrossfunctional teams to develop and implement longterm improvementplans for refinery operations.
  • Conductbenchmarks business case studies and pilot evaluations of newadvanced process control technologies such as Machine Learning andAI to contribute to yield improvement.
  • Leadtechnical sessions such as design reviews model reviews andcommissioning.
  • Lead preand postperformancebaseline evaluations.
  • Assess plant operationsand recommend actions for improvements and systemoptimization.
  • Review standards and GeneralInstructions for the GME departments and act as a leading SubjectMatter Expert (SME).

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • Bachelors degree inChemical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a relatedfield.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience inAdvanced Process Control or Realtime Optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced process controlsolutions and refinery economics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of refinery facilitiesfeedstock/product movements margins giveaways process yields andmass and energy balances is essential.
  • Familiarity with international standards andspecifications for advanced process control processmodeling.
  • Exceptional analytical andtroubleshooting skills in the field of advanced processsolutions.
  • Strong leadership skills toeffectively manage technical discussions and guide technicalteams.
