Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Realtime optimization professional to join our team at the Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME). At GME we offer topnotch technical support to refineries NGLF and petrochemical plants owned by This Company and its affiliates worldwide including facilities in Saudi Arabia. Your primary role will be to provide expert guidance and support to optimize operations using realtime optimization technologies. You will lead improvement initiatives for all operating departments within our Global Manufacturing Portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Streamline Realtime optimization objectives with corporate goals develop program best practices and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve performance.
  • Conduct realtime optimizations in refinery operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze data from various sources including process variables instrumentation and control systems to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement advanced process control strategies to optimize refinery operations and maximize the yield of desired products.
  • Lead the development of new strategies feasibility studies and established business cases.
  • Collaborate with engineers operators and vendors to develop and implement realtime optimization solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot realtime optimization systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in realtime optimization techniques and technologies to continuously improve refinery operations.
  • Provide technical support and training on realtime optimization systems and processes to engineers operators and other personnel.
  • Perform periodic assessments and evaluations to gauge the performance and effectiveness of realtime optimization solutions.
  • Identify and address potential safety environmental and reliability risks associated with realtime optimization processes.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement longterm improvement plans for refinery operations.
  • Conduct benchmarks business case studies and pilot evaluations of new advanced process control technologies such as Machine Learning and AI to contribute to yield improvement.
  • Lead technical sessions such as design reviews model reviews and commissioning.
  • Lead preand postperformance baseline evaluations.
  • Assess plant operations and recommend actions for improvements and system optimization.
  • Review standards and General Instructions for the GME departments and act as a leading Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Advanced Process Control or Realtime Optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced process control solutions and refinery economics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities feedstock/product movements margins giveaways process yields and mass and energy balances is essential.
  • Familiarity with international standards and specifications for advanced process control process modeling.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.
