Job Summary

We are seeking a Digital Solutions Architect to join ourGlobal Manufacturing Excellence Organization under the technicalsupport team.

The technical support is amultidisciplinary team who provides the required highqualitytechnical support to GM operating facilities (Refineries NGLF andpetrochemical plants) inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia &across the globe. You will play a pivotal role in shaping thetechnological landscape. Collaborate closely with stakeholders tounderstand business requirements and design innovative digitalsolutions.

Your primary role will be to supportthe Global Manufacturing Digital Transformation programs which aimat maximizing the digitalvalue realization utilization and benefitsby deploying innovative and efficient digital transformationsolutions and technologies across Global Manufacturing facilities.You will provide overall technical vision and recommendations forManufacturing Decision Support and Visualization and ManufacturingProduction Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to developthe digital strategy roadmaps and partner with implementation teamsto ensure successful delivery of digital platforms.
  • Review and analyze user requirements recommend anddevelop solution proposals to meet customer requirements ensuringalignment with enterprisewide digital architecturestrategy.
  • Review business processes andfunctional requirements to optimize solution architecturerecommending potential options selecting the most optimal optionand developing a roadmap for the selected solution.
  • Participate in technology selection control solutiondevelopment and support project management.
  • Communicate the optimized architecture to stakeholderscollaborate and coordinate with existing domain architects informalizing and adopting proposed standards andprocedures.
  • Ensure proposed solutions fulfillfunctional requirements and comply with technology solutionstandards guidelines.
  • Support architecturalaspects of all digital plant application projects.
  • Perform digital architecture governance function byconducting formal reviews of project artifacts to ensure alignmentwith overall digital architecture vision.
  • Develop policies and standards for digital platformgovernance and solutions architecture.
  • Developand maintain digital platform architecture blueprints.
  • Communicate and present digital architecture proposals topeers and senior management.
  • Develop businessarchitecture and capability maps guidance for the deliveryteam.
  • Design scalable and integrated digitalsolutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration ofsolutions into D&TMDs existing ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • Hold a Bachelors degreein computer science information technology or engineering; aMasters degree is preferred.
  • Possess a minimumof 10 years of experience as a solution architect within refiningor gas plants with strong knowledge in designing implementing andcommissioning digital plant solutions for refinery or gasplants.
  • Certification such as Fundamentals ofEngineering Professional Engineering Chartered Engineer orequivalent is highly desirable.
  • Proficient inISA 95 Model Architecture and its associated functions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks suchas TOGAF or Zachman and architecture analysis for decomposingbusiness processes into functional application and dataarchitectures.
  • Skilled in softwaretechnologies and vendors evaluation and selection based onquantitative decision analysis methods.
  • Previous experience in developing business cases andconducting benefit/cost analysis for Digital Plantsolutions.
  • Certification in TOGAF Open GroupOpen Certified Architect (Open CA) or any other relevantarchitecture certification desired.
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of the latest digitaltechnologies including Artificial Intelligence blockchain IoT datascience and analytics cloud computing Integration DB technologies(relational timeseries) etc.
  • Experience indesigning and deploying solutions in cloudnative enterpriseapplications in public private and hybrid cloud models (AWS AzureGCP OpenShift).
  • Bring an entrepreneurial andproduct mindset to provide technical leadership in the developmentof technical designs functional specifications and relevantdocumentation as per This Companys standards.
  • Deep understanding of microservices headless andeventdriven and Integration architecture.
