About the Pricing Team

The pricing team serves as the driving force of the business, working closely with data engineering, machine learning, marketing, and tech teams to fuel growth and innovation.

Backed by strong leadership support, the team operates with agility, making quick decisions to respond to the ever-changing market. By leveraging vast data from third-party sources, they maintain a deep understanding of customer behaviour and achieve a best-in-class loss ratio to stay ahead of the competition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasting: Support the forecasting of growth and loss ratios.
  • Rate Reviews: Collaborate on regular rate reviews and analyse their impact.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse large datasets to recommend initiatives and develop models to execute these strategies.
  • Reporting: Produce periodic reports for senior managers.
  • Rate Deployment: Implement rate changes and monitor their effectiveness.
  • MI Production: Use SAS to generate weekly Management Information (MI) and track trends.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of pricing experience in an insurance environment (UK home preferred).
  • Education: Degree in a numerical discipline
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in RADAR.
    • Familiarity with rating update processes, performance monitoring, and impact analysis.
  • Optimisation Knowledge: Strong understanding of retail price optimisation.
