Electronics Test Technician/Engineer

Location: Witchford (near Ely), Cambridgeshire

Hours: Full-Time Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm

Salary: £25-£30k

Are you an Electronics Test Technician or Engineer with a passion for embedded computer and digital video technology? Join our client's dynamic R&D team in Witchford and work on innovative projects in the digital video, AI, and machine learning industries.

About the Role:

In this position, you will play a key role in the testing and troubleshooting of cutting-edge embedded computer modules, peripheral cards, and digital video products. Collaborating closely with Electronics and Software Engineers, you will help ensure the high performance and quality of our video capture, encoding, streaming, and processing solutions.

Responsibilities:

Conduct testing of embedded computer modules, peripheral cards, and systems

Collect and report test data, including observations and issues

Perform conformance testing and assist with resolution of hardware issues

Collaborate with development engineers on new product initiatives

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

Experience in circuit board testing and troubleshooting

Ability to read and understand electronic circuit diagrams

Familiarity with PC architecture, PCI, and PCIe bus systems

Skilled in using digital meters, oscilloscopes, and soldering tools

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Qualified to C&G, HND/HNC, or degree level

Personal Attributes:

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Reliable, innovative, and enthusiastic, with a proactive approach to quality

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a focused team

Comfortable meeting tight deadlines and adhering to cost requirements
