We are seeking a Digital Sales Manager for this exciting opportunity with a National Company that manufactures and provides a full turnkey service for sensory, pressure control and pressure management products along with data acquisition that are installed and used nationally across the UK’s clean water and wastewater networks.

Digital Sales Manager – Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales manager capacity

  • Understanding of the Software development life cycle

  • Experienced in Agile methodology

  • Understanding of cloud computing fundamentals

  • Time management and prioritisation skills

  • Proficiency in translating complex technical features of enterprise software into business benefits that resonate with clients

  • Skill in developing customised solutions and handling technical objections

  • Strong focus on building long-term customer relationships, understanding client goals, and ensuring successful implementation and usage of services.

  • Expertise in managing large accounts, upselling, and cross-selling additional services

  • Competency in planning, developing, and executing account growth strategies to expand their footprint within existing accounts

  • Ability to recognise patterns and trends in industries where cloud technology can be a strategic advantage (e.g., IoT, machine learning, or data warehousing in the cloud)

  • Skills in collaborating on large, complex projects that may require joint efforts from multiple departments or external partners

  • Experience in nurturing and developing C-Suite Relationships

  • Experience in defining a new product requirement from inception to launch

  • A full driving licence

    Digital Sales Manager – Role Overview

  • The role is a hybrid role and is a mixture of home, remote and office-based work

  • The firm would expect you to attend Head Office as and when required

    Reporting directly to the Business Development Director the main responsibilities are:

  • Strategy Development: Create and implement digital sales strategies aligned with company goals, including identifying target audiences, setting KPIs, and planning campaigns to meet revenue targets.

  • Team Leadership: Work alongside the sales teams whilst taking the lead for all digital sales opportunities, including training, coaching, and daily support to ensure teams digital goals align with overall objectives.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitor strategies. Use insights to adjust tactics and find opportunities for growth.

  • Sales Campaign Management: Oversee digital advertising and sales campaigns across platforms to boost online visibility, build funnel and drive opportunity conversion.

  • Sales Management: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understand their needs, and create strategies for customer opportunities, engagement, and retention.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyse sales metrics, including conversion rates, revenue, cost, and lifetime value. Regularly report on performance and ROI.

  • Budget Management: Plan, allocate, and oversee the digital sales budget, ensuring that funds are utilised effectively and within allocated limits.

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (like marketing, product, and customer support) to align on messaging, product features, and promotions that enhance the customer journey.

  • Technology Integration: Stay up-to-date with digital tools, platforms, and trends. Oversee the integration of new technologies (such as CRM and analytics tools) to improve efficiency and performance.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all digital sales activities comply with legal standards and regulations, and maintain accurate records for reporting and analysis.
