This is an exciting opportunity to join Chelsea and Westminster in this innovative role as Digital Project Officer working in the Division of Specialist Care to support our Innovative Dermatology Service to implement fully a dermatology research database (a virtual tissue bank) and to operationalise this. This work will support the services research strategy to support the development, testing and implementation of novel artificial intelligence (AI) underpinned technologies to transform the performance of the service. The dermatology service has recently implemented the Skin Analytics DERM (Deep Ensemble for the Recognition of Malignancies) AI to support the effective operation of its suspected skin cancer pathway. The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the first Trusts in the country to deploy such a technology.
The post holder will apply appropriate project management and administrative skills to support the design, testing and deployment of our dermatology image database. The post holder may also be required to support other digital programmes of work within the dermatology service and in some instances across the specialist care division as a whole.
The post holder will report to the Head of Digital (Specialist Care Division) and their primary role will be to provide project management support for the delivery of the dermatology service’s digital innovation programme. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Lead for Innovation (Dermatology), the Digital Innovation Team, Data Warehouse Team, Integration Specialist Team, Specialist Care Division Digital Team and all identified stakeholders.
The candidate will be proficient in workflow design, project management tools and practices. All planning and implementation work in the Trust’s Division of Specialist Care Digital Programme will be performed in adherence to Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trusts (CW) ICT strategy.
