Job Description

The Design Lead will be joining a driven and highly collaborative team. Our team vision is to create seamless user experiences that are meaningful, accessible and desirable. We do this by focusing on user insights backed by data to ensure we improve our users' experiences across all touch points. We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Lead to manage and inspire a team of designers across retail, digital, and CRM platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for integrating artificial intelligence to enhance team efficiencies. You will be responsible for training and developing individuals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, and driving the success of our design projects.

  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with business objectives and brand identity across all our fascias.
  • Lead and manage a team of designers across retail, digital, and CRM platforms.
  • Train, mentor, and develop individual designers to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of design projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and adherence to timelines.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence tools and techniques to improve team efficiencies and design processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Trade, Optimisation and Marketing to align on priorities. to ensure cohesive and effective design solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design and AI integration. 
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.


Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (Masters degree would be advantageous)  
    Proven experience in a retail and ecommerce design leadership role, managing teams across retail, digital, and CRM platforms.
    Strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and brand identity.
    Proficiency in design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
    Experience with artificial intelligence tools and their application in design processes
    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
    Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    A creative and innovative mindset, with a keen eye for detail.
    Knowledge of CRM systems and their integration with design processes.
    Certification in AI or related fields would be beneficial.

Our Recruitment Team will be reviewing applications and all candidates will receive a response, whether you are successful or unsuccessful. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to confirm a few key details before being booked in for a first stage interview with the Recruiter- this will be behaviourally focussed and centred around how you align with our Culture and Values. If successful we anticipate two further interview stages with the Hiring Manager/wider team which will be more technically focussed and could include a presentation/task so we can see your skills in action.
