We're looking for a dedicated Deputy Ward Manager to support our dynamic team at Baldock Manor, a leading psychiatric hospital committed to delivering outstanding patient care.As a Deputy Ward Manager, either on our acute or PICU ward, you will:Play a key leadership role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients.Support the Ward Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth running of the ward.Lead and motivate a skilled team of nurses and healthcare staff.Contribute to clinical governance and service improvement.Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.Support Service Lead in managing sickness and absence on a shift basis and in the absence of the Ward in line with policy, in partnership with HR and the principles of safe staffing.Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff, including interview panels and formal induction programme.Liaise with service lead when reviewing ward basic protocolTo be scheduled for weekly on call duty at least once a monthAttend service improvement meetings such as clinical improvement , restrictive practice , team meeting and other practice review meeting as scheduledWhat We Offer:A supportive and inclusive work environment.Opportunities for career development and ongoing training.Competitive salary and benefits package.The chance to make a real difference in the lives of patients.Requirements:Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or RNLD with active NMC registration.Experience in a leadership role within a mental health setting.Strong clinical and communication skills.Sound IT skillsA passion for improving mental health care services.A minimum of 3 years’ experience of working as a nurse in a mental health setting.Experience in OPMH care or PICU is desirableYou must have outstanding communication skills, excellent clinical skills and be motivated to offer the highest standards of care.Join us in shaping the future of psychiatric care!
