Your next career move could be here!Job descriptionWorking in Delivery Management, you will oversee the successful execution of IT service projects that significantly impact Defence. This role ensures the successful delivery of projects, products, and services by coordinating teams, managing timelines, removing obstacles, and ensuring alignment with Defence Digital goals. Focusing on facilitating collaboration, tracking progress, and maintaining quality standards throughout the delivery process will be key.Responsibilities: * Develop, guide, and support teams to ensure they remain motivated, collaborate effectively, and function cohesively. Promote and enable ongoing improvement within the delivery team. * As the point of contact for contracted suppliers, you will identify suitable contractual frameworks and choose the right suppliers for upcoming projects. * Carefully listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders and accurately interpret their requirements. * Lead the project and in-service delivery of a dynamic and complex intelligence service, managing interdependencies across services while ensuring service continuity. * Facilitate the team's delivery flow by managing the pace and rhythm, while proactively addressing risks, issues, and dependencies, including external ones. * Balancing cost with value while considering user needs and applying your expertise throughout different phases of the project life cycle.Person specificationYou should have a proven track record of utilising various delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and ITIL processes. Regularly evaluating your performance and adapting your approach is essential for effective delivery. This role requires strong collaboration with diverse stakeholders, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead in a dynamic, high-profile Agile environment.
