Staff Data Scientist, Associate Director (Manchester)

A very well-funded AI start-up, with presence across Europe, US and the Middle East, is looking for multiple Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers.


Having just raised one of the largest Series A funding rounds in the sector, they are looking to grow rapidly, building multiple new product development teams (circa 30 new hires across Data & Engineering).


*prioritising Senior and Principal level hires first, but will also be hiring for less senior roles soon so please feel free to apply if you're currently a mid level engineer, particularly if you're MSc or PhD educated.


Salaries(the more you ask for, the more you'll have to impress them):

  • Principals - up to £160k
  • Seniors - up to £115k
  • Mids - up to £80k


Location:Old Street (3-4 office days/week)


✅ Must have requirements:

  • Expert level Python and SQL
  • Strong cloud expertise - ideally AWS
  • Experience designing and building Data Science/Machine Learning solutions and deploying them into production, at scale
  • Great written and verbal communication skills


Bonus points for:

  • Mastery of Python for both software engineering and data science purposes - i.e. being able to write high quality, production-grade code
  • Proficiency in C++
  • Having worked in a rapidly growing, product-focused start-up
  • Strong academic pedigree (MSc or PhD) in a related field
  • Exposure to geospatial data sets
  • Understanding of consumer behaviour and operational decision data
  • Experience in optimisation and simulation
