A key client of OB, who are a pioneering venture, providing the financial and investment markets with technology consulting services are looking to hire a experienced Data Scientists to their best in class engineering team.


This is an incredibly exciting time to join a venture backed by two industry leaders in their respective field, and will come with a great opportunity to work on greenfield projects with the latest technologies in a tech focused environment.

You'll be able to deliver demonstrable business value working hand-in-hand with the customer

whilst learning from industry experts on how financial markets and world economies work.


You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of technical products and projects – my clients teams actively engage with a wide range of business functions to leverage their knowledge and exposure as you'll be working on challenging current systems and processes to achieve common goals through technical excellence and innovation.

Key Skills and Experience:


  • Very strong academic background (2.1 minimum from a Russell Group University) in Computer Science or related field and 3 A's at A-Level or equivalent qualifications
  • Commercial experience working in Data Science or a related field
  • Strong proficiency with Python and SQL
  • Knowledge of Azure and Databricks
  • Experienced working in Financial Services (not essential but a big bonus)


This role is based in Newcastle City Centre with candidates required to be in the office 5-days a week and the successful candidate can expect a salary of £50k-£150k depending on your skills and experience. To be considered you must be UK based as sponsorship is sadly unavailable.
