What You'll Do

Our BCG X teams manage the full analytics value chain: framing business challenges, designing algorithms, implementing and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling clients and colleagues to adopt AI. Our offerings range from custom solutions to industry-specific AI software.

As a Data Scientist, you'll join our growing team to apply data science methods and analytics to real-world business scenarios across industries, driving significant impact. You'll partner with clients regionally and across topics like climate change, helping them design, build, and deploy innovative solutions.

Additional responsibilities include developing thought leadership through publications and conference leadership. We seek curious, action-oriented, communicative individuals who love building and working with modern tools, with bonus points for software development or DevOps experience. Candidates should have extensive experience applying advanced analytics, understanding modern machine learning techniques, and translating technical insights into business value. Strong project management skills are also essential.

What You'll Bring

  • Enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in programming, especially Python.
  • Ability to distill complex results into clear visualizations and explain sophisticated concepts understandably.
  • Experience with modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical foundations.
  • Strong project management skills.
