About the Job:
My client is building a new Commercial Planning team to focus on pricing, promotions, and forecasting across their business and they need a Data Scientist to help make it happen!

In this role, you'll dig into big datasets and use data-driven insights to shape pricing strategies that boost revenue, improve customer experience, and drive business growth. If you love working with data, solving problems, and collaborating with a team, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

Project Work: Team up with stakeholders to figure out project goals, collect and prep data, build models, and share the results.
Data Crunching: Use stats and machine learning to analyse data around pricing, promotions, and customer behaviour, and turn it into insights that help guide pricing decisions.
Price Optimisation: Create tools to help us set the best prices for profit or growth, using models like regression and machine learning.
Forecasting: Build models to predict pricing trends and customer demand, and see how different strategies affect the business.
Automation: Use tools like Python, Databricks, and Power BI to streamline pricing processes like indexing and elasticity analysis.What You'll Need:

Degree in a relevant field (science or quantitative subject)
Strong skills in analytics and experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, Databricks
Familiarity with pricing strategies and modelling
Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms
Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently
