Data Scientist II (Marketing Testing)

Introduction to team

If you’re as passionate as we are about using data to drive positive change and build an outstanding marketing experience, this may be the role for you!

We are looking for a hardworking and intelligent individual to fill the Data Scientist II role (Marketing Testing) within the Marketing Measurement Analytics team. You will provide powerful insights and recommendations that will shape how our EG brands advertise to customers. This is a great opportunity to join a fun, exciting, data driven and customer centric company. You will be instrumental in defining a relevant, dynamic and inspiring Incrementality and Testing strategy, powered by data insight!

You will work closely with the wider team and marketing partners to accelerate the improvement of many different areas within Testing and Incrementality. For example; the development and implementation of cutting-edge test measurement tools, or designing and evaluating incrementality tests.

In this role, you will:

  • Apply your knowledge with SQL, Python or R, or any other major ML programming language

  • Conduct hypotheses testing and design complex experiments

  • Demonstrate understanding of business domain and can recommend model changes, constantly evolving information and requirements

  • Clearly and confidently articulate decision-making rationale, solutions, methodologies and frameworks to team members and both technical and non-technical partners

  • Conduct exploratory data profiling techniques, common summary descriptive statistics etc.

  • Pick analytically valid approaches, appropriate in terms of level of effort, favoring iterative delivery that tackle the objective, not the ask

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's or PhD degree in Mathematics, Science, Statistics or related Technical field; or equivalent related professional experience (e.g. driving significant and sustained change and performance improvement from data-driven insights)

  • Demonstrates statistical competency and requires limited supervision

  • Familiar with SQL, Python or R, or any other major ML programming language

  • Experienced in the fundamentals of big data architecture (streaming events, data lakes, analytics engines) and relational database models

  • Display strong domain knowledge, business acumen and critical reasoning skills
