Join Amex GBT's dynamic Analytics team as a Data Scientist. This role is built for professionals who combine advanced technical skills with sharp business insight to make an immediate impact. In this role, you will bring to bear advanced analytical, predictive modelling, and Gen AI techniques to support strategic decisions across the organization. This will directly affect how millions of business travellers experience our services.

You'll own a diverse portfolio of high-impact projects. You will apply advanced analysis, predictive modelling, and Gen AI techniques. You will partner with business collaborators to deliver high-impact recommendations and strategic insights. Your work won't just inform decisions—it will shape them, giving you real visibility into how data translates into business results. As part of this role, you will work closely with business teams across the company, including Commercial, Product and Engineering, and Marketing teams.

What you will do:
 

Drive business value through innovative application of Data Science techniques – Deliver projects utilising the latest sophisticated analytics and data science techniques to drive value for the business. Tell stories with data that move leaders – Master the art of data storytelling, translating sophisticated analyses into clear, compelling narratives that encourage action across all levels of the organization—from product teams to C-suite executives. Optimise the customer lifecycle – Develop sophisticated analyses and predictive models that identify and prioritize critical moments in the customer journey, enabling smarter business decisions and measurable improvements to business performance. Partner with stakeholder teams on what matters most – Collaborate closely with key stakeholder teams such as Sales, Account Management and Product to deliver both one-off strategic insights and long term AI solutions they need to move fast and stay focused on high-impact work. Lead with innovation – Spot opportunities to apply data science solutions within the business, and drive implementation that delivers real business value.

What We´re Looking For:

Strong analytical foundation – Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or a related field with proven expertise in data analytics. Advanced technical skills – Proficiency in SQL (writing sophisticated multi-table joins, optimizing queries for performance, debugging and troubleshooting independently) and proficiency in Python (ML model development, data exploration, analysis, and visualization). Familiarity with Gen AI tools and techniques and how these can be applied to solve business problems. Consistent track record – experience using Data Science and Analytics skills to solve real life problems. Outstanding communication skills – Ability to articulate sophisticated analyses clearly through written reports, presentations, and compelling data storytelling across diverse audiences. Thrives in dynamic environments – Comfortable navigating fast-paced settings, ambiguity, and shifting priorities while maintaining focus on delivering results. Detail-oriented and results-driven – Sharp analytical mindset paired with meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to business outcomes. Bonus qualifications – Experience in the travel industry or a data science role is a plus. Passion for data science - A driven self learner with a love for building skills and applying the latest advanced analytics and data science techniques to tackle real-life problems and add business value.
