TUI is looking for a creative Data Scientist to develop and implement machine learning and AI solutions that address business challenges and create value across TUI's operations.

This position is available to be based at either our Luton, Hannover or Rijswijk Head office.

About The Job

  • You’ll develop machine learning models and AI solutions that address specific business problems and deliver measurable value through predictive and prescriptive approaches.
  • Processing, cleaning, and analysing large datasets from multiple sources will be central to your role, performing exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends and insights.
  • We’ll look to you to collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business problems into effective data‑science approaches.
  • Working with technology teams, you’ll implement models in production environments, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable and maintainable.
  • Your expertise will help monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing updates as needed.
  • Communicating findings, insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences will be key to demonstrating the business impact of your solutions.

About You

  • You have proven experience in applied data science, machine learning or related fields, with knowledge of machine‑learning algorithms, statistical methods and their business applications.
  • Your programming skills in Python and experience with data‑science libraries (scikit‑learn, pandas, etc.) are complemented by experience with data manipulation, analysis and visualisation techniques.
  • You bring an understanding of the data‑science project lifecycle and problem‑solving abilities that address real business challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills allow you to explain technical concepts to various audiences, supporting collaborative work in cross‑functional environments.
  • Experience in the travel, hospitality or e‑commerce industries would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Knowledge of SQL, cloud‑based data‑science platforms and software‑development practices would be advantageous.
