Data Scientist – Lloyds, Actuarial, Claims, Pricing, Python, Azure, Automation, Data Analysis, SQL, Actuarial, London Markets, London – Paying up to £75,000 Base + Bonus


My client, a leading London Market syndicate, is seeking a Data Scientist to join their organisation on a permanent basis. This role will be based in their London office, with a hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office).


You will join the Data Science and Analytics Team, working closely with the Data Science Manager to deliver key requirements for their Digital Division. In this role, you will be responsible for mining, cleansing, and analysing complex internal and external datasets (including broker data) to support pricing and risk-related decisions. Additionally, you will support pricing innovation by contributing new data techniques and model enhancements.


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years’ actuarial and/or Data experience, Lloyd’s environment preferred)
  • Expertise in data science techniques and advanced programming (Python preferred)
  • Strong statistical, data manipulation, and data analysis skills
  • Strong Understanding in Data Science and AI Techniques for Automation
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Azure Data Factory, SQL, Synapse Analytics, and Power BI
  • Strong organisational and planning skills


This is an exciting opportunity for a progressing Data Scientist to be involved in a crucial delivery piece as well as further enhancing the Data Science Capabilities at a Leading London Markets Syndicate.
