Job Title: Data Scientist Location: Belfast (Hybrid working available) We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a growing team in Belfast. This is a delivery-focused role where you will design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions in collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Alongside project work, you'll also have opportunities to contribute to product development and occasionally support technical aspects of business development such as solution scoping or proof-of-concept activities. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality data science and analytics solutions, contributing to design, development, and roadmaps. Collaborate with clients and colleagues to understand requirements, analyse data, and validate solutions. Apply descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics techniques to solve complex challenges. Develop efficient, testable code and produce clear documentation, reports, and visualisations. Research and apply innovative algorithms to address business needs. Provide technical input for proposals, scoping, and pre-sales activities. Travel occasionally within the UK, Europe, or internationally to attend client meetings or events. Skills & Experience Essential: Strong knowledge of data modelling, machine learning, or data analytics. Proven experience delivering data analytics projects as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in software development practices, version control (e.g. Git), and Agile methodologies. Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to technical and non-technical audiences. A problem-solving mindset with a proactive, adaptable, and delivery-focused approach. Desirable: Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in a relevant discipline. Strong Python skills and familiarity with data science/ML frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost). Experience with cloud platforms, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), or CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with SQL, Linux environments, and common data science applications (e.g. NLP, computer vision, tabular data). Exposure to graph databases and analysis.
