This newly created role will sit at the intersection of data engineering and data science, supporting both operational reporting and long-term strategic insight projects.With a lean but evolving technology function, the business is investing in its data capabilities and seeking someone who can work across infrastructure, analytics, and stakeholder engagement to help shape the next phase of its journey.Key Responsibilities

  • Explore and deliver use cases around forecasting, pricing, and other commercially focused initiatives.
  • Identify new opportunities to use Data Science to improve business decisions
  • Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure, including data pipelines and integration workflows.
  • Play a central role in the development and ongoing management of a cloud-based data environment.
  • Deliver actionable insights through reporting and advanced analytics, helping the business make better decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with non-technical teams to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI or similar).
  • Identify opportunities to improve how data is collected, managed, and used across the organization.Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work on data science or analytics projects with real business impact.
  • Strong background in data engineering, with solid experience working with cloud platforms and data tools.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and ideally Databricks or similar tools.

  • Confident working directly with stakeholders across the business and translating complex concepts into practical solutions.
