The Opportunity

BATON CORP is looking for a Data Scientist to have the freedom to identify opportunities, design and implement solutions, and measure their impact across the product.

Reporting to the Data Leadership, you will be the analytical engine driving our consumer product experience. You won't just be running queries; you'll be proactively identifying problems and opportunities, managing entire projects from ideation to implementation.

The Role (What you'll do)

  • Design, run, and analyze A/B tests to optimize our consumer product experience.
  • Proactively identify problems and opportunities through data analysis.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track key metrics and visualize insights.
  • Develop models to understand user behavior and predict outcomes.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement data-driven solutions.
  • Drive projects independently from problem identification through solution implementation.
  • Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Help establish data best practices and methodologies.

Who You Are (What you'll bring)

We are looking for someone proactive and self-motivated, with a knack for translating data insights into actionable recommendations. You should be an excellent communicator who thrives on autonomy and enjoys being a generalist.

  • 2-3+ years of data science experience at a startup, scale-up, or FAANG/equivalent company.
  • Proficiency with Python/R and SQL/BigQuery.
  • Strong experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests on consumer products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, managing entire projects from ideation to implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
  • Experience with cryptocurrency and blockchain data is highly preferred.
  • Experience in consumer tech products or fintech is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data visualization (Grafana), event tracking (FullStory), or data pipelines (Dataform) is also a plus.
