Our mission is to make fashion accessible to all and inspire everyone to dress a little better.

We believe e-commerce is in a rut, with brands lost in a decades-long void, lacking innovation, and mindlessly redesigning websites without fixing the real issue — making shopping fun and affordable.

Today, we are the UK's biggest live shopping platform focused on making shopping a joyful, social experience that brings people together and helps everyone level up their style. We're growing fast and hiring innovative problem solvers to build the future of shopping.

Your Mission ????

Build the data foundation and analytical systems that drive Tilt’s product and strategic decisions.

You’ll operate within a centralised Data team that partners cross-functionally across Product, Ops, and Marketing. In the short term, your work will span the full business. As we grow, we expect to evolve toward a hybrid model, embedding Data Scientists more closely within individual teams—so this is a chance to help shape that transition from day one.

Your success will be defined by your ability to translate complex data into product and operational clarity—and build scalable systems others can leverage.

What You'll Do

0–3 Months

Establish foundational metrics: Define and align on our core KPIs with stakeholders across product, ops, and leadership.
Audit & improve data infrastructure: Partner with engineering to document and upgrade our data sources and ETL pipelines.
Own dashboards & self-serve tools: Stand up (or refine) tools like Metabase to make insights accessible to the full team.
Develop taxonomies & definitions: Create a shared vocabulary across product and ops (e.g., “active user,” “successful transaction”).
Ship analyses that matter: Run deep-dives on usage, retention, or activation patterns and present key findings cross-functionally.

3+ Months

Scale our analytics culture: Enable others through education, process, and documentation. You’ll turn yourself into a multiplier.
Lead cross-functional initiatives: Work closely with product and ops on growth experiments, operational bottlenecks, and behavioural insights.
Harden and evolve the analytics stack: Own continuous improvements to data quality, modelling, and warehouse efficiency.
Become a strategic partner: Collaborate closely with leadership on strategic questions—customer segmentation, pricing experiments, expansion bets.

Requirements

You must be an ambitious, curious, relentless and no ego problem-solver excited to build the future of shopping. Additionally:

3+ years in data science or analytics roles
Experience at a fast-paced startup.
Proven ability to work independently and drive 0→1 analytics initiatives.
Fluency with SQL and a scripting language (Python or R).
Comfortable owning both data pipelines and business logic—you care about clean joins and smart questions.
Excellent communicator—whether with dashboards, written summaries, or Loom videos.
Strong product and business intuition—you know what matters and what doesn’t.
Nice to have: experience with dbt, dagster, Metabase, or Snowflake.

Our Tech Stack

We work with a modern, scalable data stack:

Data & Infrastructure: Snowflake, S3, OpenSearch, AWS Lambda & Batch, Dagster, dbt
Analytics & Experimentation: Amplitude, Appsflyer, Metabase
Orchestration & Modeling: Dagster for pipelines, dbt for transformations, and a strong experimentation layer across tools.

You’ll help shape insights and build models in a fast-moving, data-rich environment.

Perks & Benefits

29 days PTO in addition to UK Bank Holidays
Opportunity to work from abroad for up to 30 consecutive days a year
Canary Wharf office
Gym membership

Matched pension contributions
3 days a week in the office inc Monday and Thursday

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, and we’re committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse workplace.

If you don’t meet every single requirement in the job description, please don’t be put off from applying. We value potential and a willingness to learn over ticking every box — your unique perspective could be exactly what we’re looking for.

Let us know if you need any adjustments during the application process — we’re happy to help.
