What’s the role?


The Data Scientist role at CAVU is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our data-driven transformation. Sitting within our centralised data team, you’ll act as an internal consultant across multiple business areas, developing models and data products that shape both operational and commercial decisions.


As a key member of the Data Science function, you’ll work closely with specialists in Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, and Data Governance to solve new and exciting problems — from customer personalisation models to forecasting and NLP use cases. You’ll help productionise scalable machine learning pipelines, support automation, and drive continuous improvements in our data science practices.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a curious, solutions-focused data scientist to help build out our capability, working with cutting-edge tools like Databricks, AWS data services, PySpark, and CI/CD pipelines.

About You:

2–5 years of experience in Data Science or a related field


Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark
Strong data science modelling skills across classification, regression, forecasting, and/or NLP
Analytical mindset with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience deploying and maintaining ML pipelines within Databricks
Comfortable working with AWS data services and modern data architectures
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and code versioning best practices

Preferred skills:

Familiarity with Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB) for CI/CD and workflow orchestration


Experience with Harness or similar deployment automation platforms
